Civil rights leader Charles Evers, the brother of slain civil rights martyr Medgar Evers, has announced his support for Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump.

“I believe in him first of all because he’s a businessman. I think jobs are badly needed in Mississippi,” Evers said.

In response to allegations that Trump is a racist and that he had actively removed black students from one of his recent rallies, Evers said, “I haven’t seen any proof of him being a racist.”

“All of us have some racism in us. Even me,” he added.

Evers counts Donald Trump’s strict statements on illegal immigration among the key reasons for his endorsement.

Evers said he will be in attendance at Donald Trump’s rally on Monday in Madison, Mississippi. The 93-year-old wants to talk to Trump about bringing a catfish processing plant to Mississippi.

“Our catfish is shipped to China and brought back for us to buy. Put a catfish farm here,” Evers said.

Trump’s endorsement from Evers comes just one day after a bruising debate that saw the real-estate mogul defending the size of his penis, softening his position on border enforcement and H1B visas, and supporting the commission of war crimes–a position he has since walked back.

At a rally in Warren, Michigan on Friday, Donald Trump told a cheering crowd of about 4,000 supporters that he’s “going to unify the country” and that he’s “going to unify blacks and whites.”
