GOP frontrunner Donald Trump predicts that, as in South Carolina, an endorsement from the Wisconsin governor won’t hurt him in the primary on Tuesday.

During a morning campaign event in La Crosse, Wisconsin, Trump reminded voters that, “Nikki Haley, the Governor from South Carolina, who is very weak on borders” and immigration supported Sen. Marco Rubio.

“It was over. I was going to get killed. The governor of the state who is fairly popular,” endorsed his competitor, Trump recalled thinking. “The governor supported Marco and I said, ‘That’s bad.’”

“But guess what happened? I won in a landslide. Same thing is going to happen here,” Trump predicted. “I think the same thing.”

“I don’t know, maybe not,” he added.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker endorsed Trump’s competitor Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) last week.

Cruz leads Trump in the latest polls.
