$32 Million Haul By Ted Cruz In First Quarter 2016

Republican presidential candidate, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, speaks during a campaign event

The Ted Cruz campaign raised approximately $32 million in the first three months of 2016.

Cruz raised more than $12.5 million in March. The campaign made the announcement on Friday, marking the achievement as the greatest dollar amount raised in a month since the campaign began. Of almost 240,000 donations, the average amount was $52. In total the campaign has received more than $78 million from some 450,000 donors according to the campaign.

“This is yet another sign that conservatives are coalescing behind our campaign,” said Cruz of the new fundraising results.

The path to victory in the nomination and winning the general election is by standing up for hardworking men and women of America who have been left behind by Washington. I am confident in this campaign’s ability to bring together all factions of the Republican Party, as we continue to unite Republicans, Independents, Libertarians, and Americans who care about our future.

Cruz raised more than $19 million in February and March, according to Federal Election Commission filings. While the campaign did not reveal total cash on hand at the end of March, cash on hand at the end of February was just over $8 million.
