Gov. Rick Scott On Battle Against Radical Islam: Florida A ‘Loving State’

Florida Republican Gov. Rick Scott tells reporter Tom Trento about his anxiety level in regards to the threat of Radical Islam.

“We’re a loving state,” said the governor after being asked directly how he sleeps at night knowing the threat Radical Islam poses to Florida residents and visitors. “We’re a great melting pot.” The term “melting pot” is a term used to describe how immigrants come to America and blend into her mainstream culture and adopt her traditions.

When pressed, the governor struggled. “People love coming to our state. We have 110 million tourists this year. We have 20 million people and we’re going to do anything we can to keep everybody safe. We’re a loving state.”
