An Ohio police officer was hospitalized after taking a bite of his sandwich and finding glass shards in between the bun.
The Columbus Police Department reports that officer Quoc Nguyen found the glass in a sandwich he purchased from Lincoln Cafe about 2:40 p.m. on Monday.
Officer Nguyen was taken to OhioHealth Grant Medical Center and was later released and is recovering, the department said.
The department was not prepared to say the glass was put into the officer’s food on purpose. However, the Columbus Public Health department said they plan to investigate the restaurant to determine what happened.
Charges have not been filed as of yet, but the investigation will continue.
