A “couponing” mom from Tennessee says she was attacked inside a Kroger grocery store because a customer thought she was holding up the line.
Megan Wilson was attempting to use several coupons at a Kroger store checkout in Memphis on Friday, when a customer started yelling that it was taking too long at the cash register, WREG reported.
“He started shouting, ‘Come on, there’s other people out here. Nobody has time for this,'” Wilson said.
After a “back and forth” with the man, the altercation turned physical.
“He grabbed my bun, pulled me back and smashed me into my cart. When I came to I was on the ground and my leg was under the cart,” she said.
Wilson said he knocked her shopping cart over during the altercation. She said she tried getting a photo of the guy, but he ran out of the store before she could do so, leaving his items behind:
Wilson posted a video on Facebook explaining the incident.
“We want to thank Central Defense Security for reacting quickly and calling the police,” Kroger said in a statement. “Kroger Delta will continue working with the Memphis Police Department to help resolve this situation between two customers.”
Kroger has not yet publicly released the video of the incident.
