Trump on Transition with Obama: ‘I’m Getting Along Very Well with Him’

President-elect Donald Trump spoke about his transition with the Obama administration to reporters on Wednesday, saying that his staff and President Obama’s staff are “getting along very well.”

According to Politico, Trump told reporters Wednesday evening at Mar-a-Lago:

Our staffs have been getting along very well and I’m getting along very well with him other than a couple of statements that I responded to and we talked about it and smiled about it and nobody is ever going to know because we are never going to be going against each other.

The comment comes after Obama suggested during a CNN podcast that he could have won the election against Trump with the message of hope and change.

Since Obama’s comments were made public, Trump has been criticizing him on Twitter.

“Doing my best to disregard the many inflammatory President O statements and roadblocks.Thought it was going to be a smooth transition – NOT!” Trump tweeted on Wednesday morning:
