Nearly two-thirds of the country believe that “there exists a campaign to delegitimize” President Donald Trump, according to the latest Harvard-Harris poll.
Trump has often complained about being the victim of a “Witch Hunt” and numerous reports have indicated that Trump is upset that the establishment press and Democrats have tried to delegitimize his stunning 2016 victory and presidency since the day he took office.
The poll asked respondents: “Do you think there exists a campaign to delegitimize President Trump and his administration or not?”
And the Harvard poll indicates Trump may have every reason to be angry since 62 percent answered “yes,” including “87 percent of Republicans, 63 percent of independents” and even “40 percent of Democrats.”
The poll also found out that two-thirds believe the Russia investigation, which is being used to try to undermine Trump’s presidency, is “hurting the country” while a majority thought the “Deep State” was using leaks to “unseat” Trump. Other polls have found that the public actually sides with Trump against the “fake news” media that a majority of Americans believe is working with the “Deep State” to undermine Trump.
The Harvard-Harris poll was conducted June 19-21, but its full results were released over the weekend.
