Pro-Mass Immigration Billionaire Koch Brothers Side with Dems, Lobby Trump to Accept Expansive Amnesty

Pro-mass immigration GOP mega-donor billionaires, the Koch brothers, are siding with Democrats and demanding President Trump take a deal in which a border wall is fully funded in exchange for a large-scale, expansive amnesty with no immediate benefits for American workers.

The Koch brothers’ organizations — including Americans for Prosperity, Freedom Partners, and the Libre Initiative — have sided with Democrats on the immigration front, lobbying Trump to take a deal that would flood the U.S. labor market with at least nearly two million legalized illegal aliens.

For months, sources told Breitbart News that the Koch brothers — who have gone so far as to release an ad campaign in which they call illegal aliens “patriots” — were pushing the Trump administration to accept an amnesty deal that would allow at least 1.8 million illegal alien enrolled and eligible Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients to permanently stay in the U.S.

According to a POLITICO report, the Koch brothers, through their organizations, are urging Trump to do just that:

But the Koch groups — Libre Initiative, Americans for Prosperity and Freedom Partners — are all advising the president to take the Democrats’ deal. Brent Gardner, a government affairs official for Americans for Prosperity, called the proposal “an offer all parties should immediately accept,” and Libre Initiative’s president, Daniel Garza, said that “Congress and the White House should seize this chance.” [Emphasis added]

Nathan Nascimento, an executive vice president at the Freedom Partners chamber of commerce, said, “If a deal was on the table that offered both security at the border and permanent status for Dreamers, that’s a deal that Republicans, Democrats and President Trump should support.” [Emphasis added]

Trump, however, has remained clear that he would not accept a deal giving DACA illegal aliens amnesty unless it included a reduction to legal immigration levels — wherein the U.S. imports more than one million legal immigrants every year — to raise the wages and quality of life of America’s working and middle class.

The Koch brothers have been adamant in their support for mass immigration, announcing last month their opposition to Trump’s popular, pro-American effort to end the process of chain migration, whereby newly naturalized citizens can bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the U.S.

Daniel Garza of the Koch brothers’ LIBRE Initiative told Fortune at the time:

We cannot support arbitrary cuts to future legal immigration levels. We welcome a debate about whether our current legal immigration policy properly balances family and skills-based migration. But that broad debate should not distract from the immediate goal of providing certainty to Dreamers and enhancing security. [Emphasis added]

Chain migration has imported about 9.3 million foreign nationals to the U.S. since 2005. In that same time period, a total of 13.06 million foreign nationals have entered the U.S. through the legal immigration system, as every seven out of ten new arrivals come to the country for no other purpose than to reunify with foreign relatives.

This makes chain migration the largest driver of immigration to the U.S. — making up more than 70 percent — with every two new immigrants bringing seven foreign relatives with them.

The billionaire Koch brothers have also, most recently, railed against Trump’s pro-American tariffs on imported steel and aluminum, calling them “crony capitalism,” as Breitbart News reported.

The Kochs are deeply out-of-touch with Republican voters and Trump’s base of populist supporters. Most recent polling found that Republican voters now see reducing overall immigration to the U.S. as a larger priority than repealing Obamacare, tax cuts, and destroying the Islamic State (ISIS).

A DACA amnesty, such as the one for which the Koch brothers are lobbying, would come at the expense of American citizens, while being an immediate benefit for big business and illegal aliens.

For example, a DACA amnesty would put more citizen children of illegal aliens — known as “anchor babies” — on federal welfare, as Breitbart News reported, while American taxpayers would be left with, potentially, a $26 billion bill.

Additionally, about one in five DACA illegal aliens, after an amnesty, would end up on food stamps, while at least one in seven would go on Medicaid.
