An armed neighbor intervened after hearing the screams of a pregnant pizza delivery woman in Atlanta who was allegedly being beaten by three robbery suspects.

WSBTV reports that Dennis Madaris saw the suspects allegedly “beating the woman with a rifle.” As Madaris got closer he said one of the suspects turned and was armed.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution quoted Madaris explaining the order of events: “When I came around the corner here, I saw three people were beating on this lady. One of them had a gun. One of them turned around and he had the gun in his hand. I told him, ‘Drop the gun or I will drop you!’ And they threw the gun down and all three of them took off.”

Police were able to capture one of the suspects.

Another female pizza delivery woman robbed at gunpoint on the same street less than two weeks ago. In that robbery “a 9-year-old boy lured a female pizza delivery driver to Waits Avenue and two men stole her car.”
