A home invasion suspect in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood got shot in his stomach and fled to a hospital, where he was apprehended.

The Seattle Patch reports that the 35-year-old suspect allegedly entered “along the 6700 block of 25th Avenue Northeast around 4 a.m. Sunday.” He was confronted by an armed homeowner who fired a single shot, striking the suspect in the stomach.

The suspect fled the home, got into a vehicle with two other people and drove to Swedish Hospital to have his wound treated. He was eventually taken to Harborview Medical Center.

While searching the area police found two suspects standing by the alleged getaway car. A search of the car turned up blood stains.

One of the suspects was arrested but the second was questioned and released.
