President Donald Trump unveiled his new presidential limousine this week at the United Nations summit in New York City.

The heavily armored vehicle built by Cadillac on a truck frame. It features a more modern grill that imitates an XTS sedan, while the headlights imitate those of a Cadillac Escalade, according to Car and Driver.

The Secret Service posted a picture of the new limousines on Monday.

Onlookers in New York City shared video of the president’s new vehicle on social media.

NBC News reports that the vehicle has a night vision system, the ability to deploy a smokescreen, fire tear gas, and deploy an oil slick as well the capacity to electrify the door handles.

The new series of vehicles were developed by General Motors, after winning two contracts worth $15.8 million from 2014 to 2017 according to Reuters.

Although presidential limousines were traditionally Lincolns, Cadillac has provided the president his vehicle since the early 1980s.

“This vehicle, a 2018 Cadillac, continues the Secret Service’s legacy of providing state-of-the-art technology and performance to its protective mission,” Jeffrey Adams a spokesman for the Secret Service, wrote in an email to the Detroit Free Press.
