Bynes Epitomizes Obama's Julia Campaign Composite

Amanda Bynes is in a pickle, so she’s doing exactly what the Left would advise. She’s reaching out to the government for help.

More specifically, the Commander in Chief.

Bynes’ legal snafu involves an accident with a police officer’s vehicle. Bynes, whose film resume includes “Easy A” and “Hairspray,” was charged yesterday in the April 6 incident. Now, she’s reaching out to President Barack Obama for help via Twitter.

“Hey @BarackObama… I don’t drink. Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don’t hit and run. The end.”

But … isn’t that precisely what the Democrats told her to do? Consider Julia, the composite single female the Obama campaign concocted to help the president’s reelection campaign. Julia leans on the government consistently throughout her life, a glaring example of the Nanny State writ large should Obama get a second term.

Bynes must have the resources to battle back against the criminal charges. She’s a well-paid young woman, and it’s not like she’s loitering on death row and waiting for the governor’s call. Yet she instinctively pleaded for the government’s help rather than screw up the courage to fight her own battles.

Then again, knowing how cozy Obama is with the celebrity elite, he might just step in on her behalf all the same – assuming she can host a presidential fundraiser at her pad.
