Win Tickets to New Rolling Stones Concert Film

The Rolling Stones announced new tour dates this week to celebrate the band’s 50th anniversary.

L.A. residents will get the chance to see the band at the start of their worldwide fame next week courtesy of a new film culled from footage shot but never released.

“The Rolling Stones Charlie is my Darling – Ireland 1965” will play at midnight Oct. 24 at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater. The hour-long documentary, which premiered at the New York Film Festival last month, features newly discovered candid footage of 20-something Mick Jagger and co. and the first live performance of “Satisfaction” ever captured on film.

The film captures the band during a quick two-city tour of Ireland in 1965 following on the success of their newest single, “Satisfaction.” Band manager Andrew Loog Oldham hired director Peter Whitehead to film some footage and Glyn Johns to record the shows. The footage was shopped the following year but never officially released or aired.

“Charlie is My Darling” will be released on Blu-ray Nov. 6.
