Aaron Sorkin’s horrendous drama Newsroom on HBO will now be hiring Joel Johnstone to play a Mitt Romney staffer, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Sorkin’s Newsroom has already featured news anchor Will McAvoy calling the Tea Party the “American Taliban“:
They can call themselves the Tea Party. They can call themselves conservatives and they can even call themselves Republicans, though Republicans certainly shouldn’t. But we should call them what they are. The American Taliban.
It has featured an episode that specifically targeted Breitbart News, while distorting the Weinergate scandal beyond all recognition. No doubt the Romney campaign can look forward to the same treatment.
