Matt Damon Hopes We'll See Who Obama Is in Second Term

Matt Damon is no conservative, but the “Bourne” franchise star once excoriated President Barack Obama all the same for not living up to the hype.

Now, Damon is in a more hopeful mood, believing the president we’ve watched for four years isn’t the one he pulled the lever for twice.

The actor, out publicizing his anti-fracking drama “Promised Land,” says he believes we haven’t seen the real President Obama yet.

“I’m a perennial optimist,” Damon told TheWrap. “So I’m very hopeful that this second term is going be a great one and that we’re going to see who he is and he’s going to make a lot of people’s lives a lot better. That’s my true hope.”
