Ferrell and Hayek Endorse LA Mayoral Candidate Garcetti

This week, actor Will Ferrell and actress Salma Hayek endorsed LA mayoral candidate Eric Garcetti. Ferrell cut an online video praising Garcetti:

You probably are thinking who cares what some strikingly handsome actor thinks? But I’m not just an actor. I’m also a native Los Angeleno, a father of three, and a business owner. And I want a city that is vibrant and healthy for my three sons and my four illegitimate children to grow up in. That’s why I’m voting for Eric Garcetti.

Ferrell isn’t the only overrated Hollywood star on Garcetti’s Christmas list. Hayek is a big fan, and so is Jimmy Kimmel, who hosted a $250,000 fundraiser for Garcetti. That’s largely because Garcetti, a Prius-driving organic food-munching city council member, is a big fan of spending taxpayer cash on subsidizing Hollywood.
