Boston Set of 'American Hustle' Shut Down for Bomber Hunt

The old Hollywood saw “the show must go on” took a back seat to grim reality today in Boston.

The production for director David O. Russell’s upcoming American Hustle feature was shut down today as the hunt for one of two suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing consumed the city.

Governor Deval Patrick ordered the shutdown of public transportation and advised residents to stay indoors as a massive manhunt continued for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who the FBI believes planted the bombs at the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday.

The film, an ’80s drama about the FBI sting known as ABSCAM, stars Bradley Cooper, Jennifer Lawrence, Christian Bale, Robert De Niro and Amy Adams, got caught up in the city-wide lockdown.
