FCC Faces Deluge of Complaints Over Miley Cyrus' MTV Antics

Miley Cyrus thinks she made “history” by using a foam finger in a sexual fashion and sticking out her tongue during her recent Video Music Awards performance.

What Cyrus manage to do is making many television viewers irate with her sexual antics.

The FCC has received more than 150 complaints over Miley Cyrus’ racy Video Music Awards performance, according to documents posted online by The Smoking Gun and Huffington Post.

Cyrus’ act was called “shameful” and compared to a Tijuana hooker, while one outraged viewer shouted, “God help this nation” in all capital letters.

Their outrage, alas, is misplaced. The FCC overlooks broadcast television, and MTV is a cable channel that doesn’t fall within its jurisdiction.
