'Duck Dynasty' Son: Family Will 'Continue to Represent Our Faith and Values'

After A&E announced it had reinstated patriarch Phil Robertson after suspending him last week for comments that were deemed anti-gay, Phil Robertson’s son, Alan, said on Friday that the Duck Dynasty family would continue to represent their “faith and values” on the show.

Alan also said the family was greatly “encouraged and emboldened” by the “outpouring of support and prayer” they received.

“Our family has become even closer through the past 9 days and we are excited to keep making a quality TV show for our dedicated fans, who have showed us wonderful support,” he told E! online. “We will continue to represent our faith and values in the most positive way through Duck Dynasty and our many projects that we are currently working on. The outpouring of support and prayer has encouraged and emboldened us greatly.”

Alan is the oldest son, and he joined the show this season. He distinguished himself because, unlike the other male family members, he did not have a beard.
