'Sherlock' Premiere Seen by 4 Million Viewers in U.S.

NEW YORK, Jan. 20 (UPI)–The Season 3 premiere of “Sherlock” was seen by about 4 million viewers in the United States Sunday night, PBS announced.

Created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, the show is a contemporary retelling of Arthur Conan Doyle’s 19th century-set detective stories.

It stars Benedict Cumberbatch as the titular sleuth and Martin Freeman as his trusted partner in crime-solving Dr. John Watson.
