'LEGO Movie' Builds Huge Box Office Weekend, 'Monuments Men' Finishes Distant Second

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 9 (UPI)–“The LEGO Movie,” an animated film the voice of Will Ferrell among others, topped the weekend box office with $69.11 million in receipts.

“The Monuments Men,” starring George Clooney, Matt Damon, Bill Murray and Cate Blanchett in an ensemble company, was second with $22.7 million.

All studio estimates of gross North American receipts are via Box Office Mojo.

“Ride Along” was third with $9.394 million; “Frozen” fourth with $6.914 million; “That Awkward Moment” fifth with $5.54 million; “Lone Survivor” sixth with $5.293 million; “Vampire Academy” seventh with $4.101 million; “The Nut Job” eighth with $3.809 million; “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit” ninth with $3.6 million.

“Labor Day” was 10th with $3.23 million.
