Second Benghazi Movie Moving Forward

The announcement of a second Benghazi film project in less than a week means the terrorist attack that killed four Americans may continue to haunt former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton well into her presumed presidential run.

Paramount just announced it was looking to buy the film rights to an upcoming book on the attacks in Benghazi. Now, an eBook called Benghazi: The Definitive Report has been optioned by a production company vowing to make a historically accurate account of that tragic day.

We were approached by several outlets but chose to partner with [producer Jan Wellman] because we trust that he will do a proper job with the story,” Brandon Webb, a former Navy SEAL who co-wrote the best-selling book with former Army 75th Ranger and Green Beret, Jack Murphy, told FOX411….

Webb and Murphy leveraged their Special Operations and Intelligence sources to pen “Benghazi: The Definitive Report,” an insider account about the events of on September 12, 2012, which claimed the lives of U.S. ambassador Christopher Stevens, former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, and State Department information management officer Sean Smith.

Webb says the project will go forward with the input of family members who lost loved ones in the attack.”

This book hits close to home because Ty and Glen were both teammates, and Glen was a best friend and uncle to my three children,” Webb added. “I want to see this movie done right.
