62 and Chiseled: Mickey Rourke Wins Comeback Bout in Russia

Actor and retired boxer Mickey Rourke, 62-years-old, made his way back into the ring in Moscow, after a 20-year hiatus, on Friday and defeated 29-year-old professional boxer Elliott Seymour.

Rourke, who sparred with Seymour for only two of the five rounds planned, won the fight in the second after taking his opponent to the canvas twice. Refs called the match, meaning Rourke was victorious in his first bout in two decades, reports ESPN.

Former mixed martial arts fighter Frank Shamrock posted this photo of Rourke’s weigh-in to Facebook, captioned with: “My bro #mickeyrourke is boxing in Russia tonight. 62 years young & still laying hands#respect.”

Rourke said he has four more fights planned in Moscow. There is no word on what his plans are beyond that.

In the case of the dynamic boxer-turned actor, who has found an unorthodox way to spend his golden years, age is nothing but a number, folks.
