Appearing on Conan last week to discuss the final season of Two and a Half Men, Ashton Kutcher offered up a tip to host Conan O’Brien on how to confirm one’s sexual preferences.

O’Brien asked Kutcher and Men co-star Jon Cryer what it was like to kiss onscreen for episodes of the sitcom’s final season, in which the two fake a same-sex marriage to scam a child adoption service.

“Jon’s my second male kiss onscreen. My first was in ‘Dude, Where’s My Car?'” Kutcher began.

“Here’s the thing: if you want to know if you’re not gay, kiss a dude. If you feel nothing, you know,” Kutcher offered. “While Jon’s a wonderful human, there was nothing. It was weird because he had a little stubble, and now I understand the issue with the stubble. It’s a little scratchy and itchy.”

For his part, Cryer told O’Brien that Kutcher is a great kisser.

“You’re an excellent kisser,” Cryer told Kutcher. “He has nothing to be ashamed of. It was a little weird, because we had one the first season, and then we got married in the last season so we had a few…”

“More deeply intimate ones,” Kutcher interjected.

More than 13 million viewers tuned in Thursday night for the Two and a Half Men series finale, according to Variety. Charlie Sheen was reportedly offered a role in the final episode, but turned it down.
