Rolling Stone Senior Editor Blasts Clinton ‘Blue Dress’ Painter

From his verified Twitter account, Rolling Stone senior editor Simon Vozick-Levinson lashed out at Nelson Shanks, the painter responsible for a subversive dig at former-President Bill Clinton’s honesty. In a portrait of Clinton that has hung in the National Portrait Gallery since 2006, Shanks revealed that he added the shadow of Monica Lewinsky’s infamous blue dress.

“The reality is he’s probably the most famous liar of all time,” Shank told the Philadelphia Daily News. “He and his administration did some very good things, of course, but I could never get this Monica thing completely out of my mind and it is subtly incorporated in the painting.”

The Rolling Stone senior editor did not seem to appreciate this particular act of subversive art:
