Video game rental service GameFly is launching an on-demand gaming streaming service, launching exclusively on Amazon Fire TV.

Six gaming packs are available to users, starting at $6.99 per month. In order to play, gamers will need to purchase the Amazon Fire TV Game Controller for $39.99 in addition to the cost of the Amazon Fire TV system.

Darksiders II, Dirt 3, and the Batman: Arkham series are some of the 40 titles that are available. However, the service does not have the newest AAA titles. Streamed gaming appears to have gained more prominence recently, with Sony, Nvidia, and now Amazon and Gamefly offering services for gamers.

Steve Rabuchin, the Vice President of Amazon Appstore, stated, “Amazon Fire TV selection has grown 127% in just the last 6 months, and is continuing to accelerate… with the addition of new titles like Fox News, Popcornflix, Candy Crush Saga and GameFly, customers now have access to even more of their favorite TV shows, news content, top quality games and live TV.”
