Steam Showcases New Controller, Link Device to Allow Playing PC Games on TVs

Steam has premiered its own controller and link device, allowing gamers to play any titles in their Steam library on their television.

The controller and link can each be preordered online for $49.99; gamers can buy both of them in a $99.98 bundle. Steam will ship these preorders on October 16. The two products will have a regular release date of November 10. Both products can also be preordered at GameStop.

The controller has “dual trackpads, HD haptic feedback, dual-stage triggers, back grip buttons, and fully-customizable control schemes.” It comes with two AA batteries and a wireless USB dongle. The link has 60 frames-per-second 1080p resolution, three USB 2.0 jacks, Bluetooth 4.0, and comes with an adapter and power cable, an HDMI 2.0 cable, and an Ethernet cable.
