The first three TV spots for the revamped Late Show with Stephen Colbert aired Sunday night on CBS’ 60 Minutes.

In the first spot, Colbert promises to host exciting interviews with public figures when his new show premieres September 8:

“I’ll talk about the news, tell jokes and have fascinating conversations with celebrities, athletes, musicians and, of course, politicians.”

Colbert then “bumps into” 2012 Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

“Wow, you do a great Mitt Romney,” Colbert deadpans.

“I am Mitt Romney,” Romney protests.

“That’s it, stay in character.”

Romney closes out the ad by asking for pancakes.
