Late Night host Seth Meyers used Monday night’s monologue to hurl epithets at Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, calling the real estate magnate a “f–king clown.”

“It is possible to take him seriously and also remember he’s a clown. Yes, he’s a dangerous clown. He’s a clown with a knife, but at the end of the day, he’s still a f–ing clown,” Meyers said.

“No matter how extreme Donald Trump gets, and how serious the potential outcomes are, we have to continue to mock him,” Meyers said. “Calling him a racist or fascist is important, but doesn’t seem to rattle him. Remember, though, he’s also a huge narcissist, so I suggest passive aggressive signs that chip away at his ego.”

Meyers also blamed the GOP frontrunner for the ruckus at recent campaign events, citing a speech where Trump told attendees to “knock the crap” out of any would-be hecklers.

Meyers later posited that stopping Trump from advancing politically may already be a lost cause, adding that Americans can still “mock him” with signs with snide remarks written on them.

“That would hurt Trump’s ego way more than being called a fascist, because he hates being laughed at,” Meyers said.
