Adult film performer Amber Rayne, who was among a group of high-profile porn starlets who accused James Deen of sexual assault late last year, died in her home in Los Angeles over the weekend.

The 31-year-old, whose real name was Meghan Wren, was pronounced dead at 3:16 p.m. on Saturday, L.A. County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner assistant chief Ed Winter told The Hollywood Reporter.

Winter also told the outlet there were no signs of foul play or physical trauma, and Rayne might have died as the result of an accidental overdose.

Winter later told the New York Daily News Rayne “evidently was with a friend. It was reported as a possible accident, a possible overdose.”

She posted on her Twitter page on Friday, Apr. 1, that she was expecting a friend over for wine and pizza:

Her cause of death will be determined pending toxicology test results.

Rayne was a 10-year veteran in the adult entertainment industry.

In December, she accused porn star James Deen of punching her in the face and of penetrating her so hard she was left bleeding while the pair filmed a scene together. She came forward with the allegation after at least nine other performers accused Deen of rape or sexual assault.

Deemed porn’s “well-hung boy next door,” Deen has denied the allegations.

The actor told The Daily Beast: “I honestly am shocked as well. I am extremely happy to hear that you have always had good and respectful experiences with me.”
