Rapper Kanye West was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital Monday after canceling the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour earlier in the day.

According to NBC News, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a “medical welfare” call at around 1:20 p.m. on Monday afternoon. The Grammy-winning rapper was later admitted to Ronald Regan UCLA Medical Center, reportedly “for his own health and safety,” a source told the outlet.

A source close to West told E! News that West is “exhausted.”

Earlier Monday, the outspoken rapper and fashion designer abruptly canceled the remainder of his Saint Pablo tour, which was set to continue for another 21 dates through New Year’s Eve. Neither West nor promoter Live Nation Entertainment immediately offered a reason for the cancelation.

The rapper’s hospitalization comes after he delivered a pair of bizarre rants while onstage at consecutive concerts in California over the weekend. At a concert in San Jose on Thursday, he delivered a 40-minute political speech in which he said he had not voted in this year’s presidential election, but if he had, he would have voted for Republican Donald Trump.

At his next concert, in Sacramento on Saturday, he reportedly arrived around 90 minutes late and performed just three songs before delivering another monologue, in which he called out fellow artists Beyoncé and Jay-Z and compared himself to Trump.

West canceled a scheduled concert at the Forum in Los Angeles on Sunday hours before it was set to begin before scrapping the remainder of his tour on Monday.

A representative for West did not immediately return Breitbart News’s request for comment.
