Listen: Rapper Kodak Black Arrested While Live Streaming on Instagram

Rapper Kodak Black was apparently livestreaming on Instagram on Thursday when Broward Sheriff’s Deputies raided his home, arresting him on multiple felony charges.

“Your phone’s part of the search warrant — you’re not going to get your phone back,” one law enforcement official can be heard telling the 20-year-old rapper, as he livestreamed his arrest to his five million Instagram followers.

Kodak Black, real name Dieuson Octave, was jailed and hit with seven charges. According to according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, the “Project Baby singer’s charges include grand theft of a firearm, possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of a weapon by a felon, two counts of probation violation charges, and child neglect without great bodily harm.

Authorities reportedly arrested Black after an Instagram video of what appeared to be pot party at the rapper’s Pembroke Pines home, appeared online showing one person holding a handgun while an infant was present and other individuals smoking marijuana near the child.

Before his Thursday arrest, Black was already serving a one-year house arrest sentence on felony probation for robbery as well as five counts of false imprisonment. The rapper was also on felony probation for fleeing officers and a delinquent felon in possession of a gun conviction.

Black is being held at the Broward County jail in Fort Lauderdale. On Friday, Judge Joel Lazarus denied bond to the rapper.
