Singer and outspoken President Donald Trump critic John Legend launched into a profanity-laced rant Wednesday evening when asked about White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders being fat-shamed by actress Claudia Jordan.

Legend, accompanied by his wife Chrissy Teigen, told TMZ that he doesn’t believe Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) encouraging public harassment of Trump administration officials would hurt the Democrats in the 2018 midterm elections.

“No, that’s ridiculous. Maxine is the O.G. and she did a great job, she called them out,” Legend scoffed as he exited Los Angeles hot spot Madeo.

TMZ then asked Legend how he felt about Jordan suggesting Sanders’ weight warranted the Trump official being asked to leave the Red Hen.

“Ask me, should we be reuniting 2000 kids with their parents? Ask me that,” Legend shot back.

“I don’t care about fucking Sarah Sanders. Reunite the fucking kids with their families and then we’ll talk about Sarah Sanders and her fucking dinners,” he added.

Legend’s remarks follow a series of tweets in which the singer said he felt “very comfortable” with Trump officials facing public harassment over the administration’s immigration policies.

“Bottom line is that I’m very comfortable with a non violent form of social censure being visited upon people who implement and defend such intentionally harmful policies,” the Grammy Award-winner said on Monday. “Far less pain is being visited upon Sarah et al than these families at the border. Shame on the whole lot.”

Later, Legend offered up a mea culpa: Reunite all immigrant children with their parents who illegally crossed into the United States through Mexico and the targeting will end.

“Let’s make a deal with the Trump Administration,” the singer tweeted. “Reunite all these families immediately and you can go out to eat wherever the fuck you want.”

Sanders revealed last Saturday that she was asked to leave the Red Hen restaurant in Lexington, Virginia because of her White House role.

“Last night I was told by the owner of Red Hen in Lexington, VA to leave because I work for @POTUS and I politely left,” tweeted Sanders.

“Her actions say far more about her than about me. I always do my best to treat people, including those I disagree with, respectfully and will continue to do so.”
