Politico: Bush vs. Clinton 2016!

Politico, living in a dreamworld of its own making, is already forecasting the 2016 election – and they’re suggesting that Jeb Bush may be the Republican nominee, squaring off against Hillary Clinton. Now, this is a business that Dick Morris should have discredited long ago, when he predicted a 2008 race between Condoleeza Rice (never ran) and Hillary Clinton (lost to Obama during the primaries).

But if Politico truly thinks that Republicans are ready to embrace a moderate governor of Florida who is soft on most of the issues conservatives care about, especially in the aftermath of two brutal defeats of GOP moderates, they have another think coming. George W. Bush is the model Republicans want to avoid; without Bush, there would have been no Obama. And it’s time for Republicans to tap their bench. But Politico continues to dream of a regressive GOP intent on re-embracing its failures.
