'Meet the Press': No Pro-Gun Senators Would Appear

Betsy Fischer Martin, producer on NBC’s Meet the Press, tweeted that the show “reached out to ALL 31 pro-gun rights Sens in the new Congress to invite them to share their views on @meetthepress – NO takers.”

This shouldn’t be a surprise – to appear on Meet the Press to be berated by high-minded, knee-jerk liberals unconcerned with the actual effects of gun legislation on crime, simply to be demonized for their belief in the Second Amendment, would be a fool’s errand. The left is playing Martin’s revelation as though those who believe in gun rights are cowards; the truth is that they’re intelligent, and don’t see the purpose in being castigated to help the anti-gun cause.
