This morning on “CBS This Morning,” left-wing co-hosts Charlie Rose and Norah O’Donnell dropped every posture of objectivity to bludgeon Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel for what they framed as the Obama Administration’s gun control “cowardice” during the President’s first term. It was a double-team grilling from two “journalists” who just seem tired of pretending to be impartial anymore.

While Rose and O’Donnell were beating Emanuel senseless, pushing for an assault weapons ban, something both obviously found too inconvenient to discuss is the fact that Emanuel’s Chicago has the toughest gun control laws in the country and an exploding murder rate.
You would think a real journalist would want to explore this dilemma a little, wouldn’t you? A real journalist wouldn’t beat Emanuel up over his supposed “cowardice” in the White House; a real journalist would ask why the mayor of Chicago wants a nationwide assault weapons ban when the toughest gun control laws in the country aren’t doing his own city a damn bit of good.
But we don’t have a real media in this country, just a bunch of left-wing bullies who don’t even have to pretend they’re objective on any issue involving the stripping away of our individual liberties.
