Fox has announced that former Massachusetts Senator Scott Brown will join the network as a contributor, with his debut set for February 13th on Sean Hannity’s show.

Recently, a handful of Fox News contributors–including Sarah Palin and Dick Morris–have left the network. Brown joins Dennis Kucinich as the news network’s newest contributor.

Executive vice president of programming for Fox News, Bill Shine, released a statement saying, “Senator Brown’s dedication to out-of-the box thinking on key issues makes him an important voice in the country and we are looking forward to his contributions across all Fox News platforms.”

Senator Brown was also quoted in the statement: “I am looking forward to commenting on the issues of the day and challenging our elected officials to put our country’s needs first instead of their own partisan interests”

In a tweet on Wednesday morning, Howard Kurtz speculated that Fox might be “heading down a more moderate post-Palin path” with the addition of Brown.

Brown won a special election to the Senate in 2010 after long-time Massachusetts Senator Ted Kennedy passed away, leaving the seat vacant. He lost his bid for a full term in 2012.

Brown recently announced he would not run in the special election to replace outgoing Senator John Kerry, who stepped down from the Senate to become Obama’s next Secretary of State.
