Tonight, Fox News will broadcast a Hannity Special Townhall featuring more than two dozen black conservatives who will tackle critical issues facing all Americans and offer their opinions and personal solutions to those issues.
The special, the brainchild of Fox News contributor Deneen Borelli and hosted by Fox News’ Sean Hannity, brought together a wide range of black conservatives with various backgrounds, including religious leaders, public policy experts, authors, talk-show hosts, and political advisers.
Dr. Ben Carson also took part in the meeting, which include a one-on-one sit down with host Sean Hannity to talk about the liberal backlash over his speech at the White House National Prayer Breakfast recently and how he and other black conservatives are dealing with other tactics employed by the left.
The main purpose of the meeting was to show Americans that the black community is not a monolithic entity. Contrary to the narrative propagated by the left, black conservatives do exist, and we are offering real solutions for all Americans, not simply the black community. These solutions do not begin and end with big government but are based on individual thought and responsibility.
For me personally, I was honored to be counted among this fine group of black leading conservatives. Each one of us has committed ourselves to holding more of these town hall meetings, as well as other media appearances, to offer to our fellow Americans real solutions to the problems facing our nation while pushing back again the predictable liberal narrative. Tonight’s broadcast is the beginning of that process.
