Fox News Former VP Lewis Blasts 'Ludicrous' Sherman Reporting

Brian Lewis, the public relations vice president at Fox News who was recently fired and tossed from the building, told TVNewser on Wednesday that the media had gotten the details of his separation from the company completely wrong. In particular, Lewis singled out Roger Ailes’ chief critic, New York magazine’s Gabe Sherman, for criticism. “Some stories are ludicrous, but there is one story that is particularly ludicrous,” he said, apparently referring to Sherman’s recent hit piece on Ailes over Lewis’ firing, which speculated that Ailes had been isolated at Fox News by Lewis’ departure.

“There has been rampant speculation surrounding my departure from Fox that I am not addressing at this time,” Lewis told TVNewser. “I will say it has been an honor and privilege to work for Roger Ailes the past 20 years and I wish nothing but the best for him and the great people at Fox News.”
