AP Editor, Reporter Fired Over Erroneous McAuliffe Story

Two weeks ago the Associated Press published a false reportthat claimed Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe had lied to an investigatorduring a federal fraud case. The story was retracted less than two hours later.Monday, the AP firedBob Lewis, the reporter behind the story, and editor Dena Potter.

Without any consequenceto editors or reporters that I am aware of, in the recent past this same AP hastweeted apro-abortion hashtag, referred the Hispanic George Zimmerman as “white,”and rewrote President Obama’s Gulf gaffe so thatit would not appear as a gaffe

Apparently, falsehoods that damage a Democrat are more equalthan those that either protect one or their agenda.
