Baldwin Announces Gay Slur Apology Tour, Then Deletes Tweet

On Sunday, following his announcement that he might end his MSNBC show in the wake of his suspension after being caught flinging a homophobic slur at a photographer, Alec Baldwin announced a quasi-apology tour of the gay community: “Off to speak at a gathering of mostly gay men in the East Village. Then to San Fran Tuesday. Should be interesting.”

Late on Sunday afternoon, Baldwin apparently deleted the tweet, which no longer appears on his Twitter feed. He apparently also deleted a series of tweets from last week in which he claimed that he never used the word “f*g” and would sue those who claimed he did.
