'Breitbart News Sunday' on SXM 125: Rep. Jim Bridenstine; Breitbart News from SC Tea Party Convention; Common Core

On Breitbart News Sunday on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125 from 7PM EST to 10PM EST, Breitbart News Executive Chairman and host Stephen K. Bannon will discuss the galvanization of the Tea Party with on-the-ground reports from the Tea Party Convention in South Carolina from the Breitbart News team, Common Core, the looming currency wars, and veterans in politics.

Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-OK) will be on the program to speak about the Tea Party, the war in Afghanistan, and veterans in politics.

Breitbart News Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow and Breitbart’s Matthew Boyle will call in from South Carolina from the Tea Party convention. Marlow served as the MC for part of the event while Boyle was on the ground reporting. Marlow also spoke at the event about the revolution that Andrew Breitbart and Breitbart News started in the media and how it has rocked the permanent political and media class. His speech drew a rousing standing ovation in what is arguably the nation’s most important presidential primary state for Republicans.

Craig Smith, the CEO of Swiss America, will discuss the coming currency wars.

Common Core will be a big focus of the program, and Breitbart’s Dr. Susan Berry will be joining Dr. Terrence Moore and Dr. Sandra Stotsky to discuss the failures of Common Core, the agenda of those behind it, why it must be stopped and the evidence that it is already failing the students it purportedly seeks to help.

Moore teaches history at Hillsdale College and also served as a lieutenant in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1990-1993. For seven years he was the principal of Ridgeview Classical Schools, a K-12 charter school in Fort Collins, Colorado whose high school was twice ranked the number-one public high school in the state. Dr. Moore is the author of The Story-Killers: A Common-Sense Case Against the Common Core, and The Perfect Game, a novel about real boys growing up in Texas during the Reagan years, available on Amazon.

Stotsky is credited with developing one of the country’s strongest sets of academic standards for K-12 students as well as the strongest academic standards and licensure tests for prospective teachers while serving as Senior Associate Commissioner in the Massachusetts Department of Education from 1999-2003. She is also known nation-wide for her in-depth analyses of the problems in Common Core’s English language arts standards.

Her current research ranges from the deficiencies in teacher preparation programs and teacher licensure tests to the deficiencies in the K-12 reading curriculum and the question of gender bias in the curriculum. She is regularly invited to testify or submit testimony to state boards of education and state legislators on bills addressing licensure tests, licensure standards, and Common Core’s standards (e.g., Utah, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, South Carolina, and Texas). Stotsky currently serves on Pioneer Institute’s Center for School Reform.

Bannon hosts the weekly three-hour program that helps set the next week’s news cycle.
