Rush Limbaugh: CNN Not Even Pretending to Do News

On Wednesday, conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh called out CNN for not even pretending to be objective or do news.

After CNN boss Jeff Zucker said that he would try to push more climate change stories on viewers who even Zucker conceded had a “tremendous” lack of interest in them, Limbaugh said Zucker’s words were “a tacit admission that CNN does not ‘do news’ and is part of the left-wing agenda” that seeks to find “persuasive and creative ways to grow and spread that agenda.”

“They’re not even pretending to be anything but participants in moving the Democrat agenda forward,” Limbaugh said on his radio show. “That’s what Zucker has admitted here.”

Limbaugh cited a Breitbart News report about Zucker’s remarks and how they represented yet another instance of the network’s blatant biases.

“Climate change is one of those stories that deserves more attention, that we all talk about, but we haven’t figured out how to engage the audience in that story in a meaningful way,” Zucker said Monday at an awards dinner in New York. “When we do do those stories, there does tend to be a tremendous amount of lack of interest on the audience’s part.”

He also blasted the network for not wanting to be “shamed” into covering Benghazi, which he said was a “cover-up at the highest levels of government of the death of four Americans and the selling of guns to our enemies,” while they will be “shamed into covering the global warming lies that nobody believes.”

“They’ve got this issue that nobody cares about, and yet they’re not gonna give it up until they make people care about it,” Limbaugh declared.
