By attacking and badgering Dr. Ben Carson, the mainstream media may be doing him a big favor.

On Breitbart News Sunday on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, Carson, who has been surging in the polls and is now the frontrunner in Iowa, spoke about the numerous hostile questions and interrogations he has received from mainstream media members and said that many television viewers and voters are noticing that the mainstream press treat him—a political outsider—unfairly compared to establishment Republicans and Democrats in the permanent political class.

But Carson told host and Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon that “people are starting to recognize that the press is not their friend,” and that is helpful because “the more they badger me, the more people say, ‘well, he must be a good guy.’”

Carson said that he always emphasizes that the press is protected by the Constitution because “they have a responsibility to the people.”

“They’re supposed to be objective and on the side of the people and not on one political side or the other,” he said.
