Commenting on the fallout from Wednesday night’s GOP debate, former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin praised Breitbart Editor-at-Large John Nolte’s column exposing the lies of CNBC debate moderator John Harwood; called on NBC to fire Harwood; and urged people to watch Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon’s documentary The Undefeated to “get a clue” about the media treatment she received during the 2008 campaign.

“John Nolte – we need to thank God you’re there, calling out unethical reporters,” Palin wrote on her Facebook page. “NBC – you need to fire your unethical reporter, John Harwood. John Harwood – you need to act before you get fired. You lie. Don’t be a weasel. Just resign.”

Palin then addressed the GOP establishment, insisting that they “must do better” in “holding the left accountable.”

“Obviously leftist lapdogs in the media lie about conservatives,” Palin asserted. “You too often cowardly refuse to defend the mainstream media’s target, choosing instead to slyly witness the conservative’s record and reputation get pummeled.”

In a follow-up post, Palin urged people to watch the first five minutes of Bannon’s The Undefeated to see how the media and GOP establishment behaved in the 2008 campaign. “Finally it occurs to folks this idiotic practice of ‘throwing GOP candidates to the wolves’? Yeah. I’ve been there,” Palin wrote.

She thanked Bannon for “being THE one with the guts to hold these yahoos accountable.” Though eschewing any claim to “victim status,” Palin explained the frustration she had during her vice presidential campaign with GOP establishment handlers who were eager to get on the good side of the liberal media, writing:

After having to sneak in my own personal phone calls to conservative media during the ’08 campaign (as Sean Hannity and Alaska’s own KWHL can attest) because the GOP machine chose instead to line up those liberal man-eater, out-of-context interviews (suspiciously, rarely were they aired live – always edited to fit the liberal reporters’ narrative) well, it was obvious that some highly paid campaign consultants (STILL suckering candidates in to hire them today!) were as smart as a box of rocks. Check this out; and thank you, again, Steve Bannon for being THE one with the guts to hold these yahoos accountable.

In her autobiography, Going Rogue: An American Life, Palin wrote about the incompetence and mendacity of the senior McCain campaign consultants and current GOP establishment pundits Nicolle Wallace and Steve Schmidt, who botched her media rollout during the 2008 campaign and then falsely accused her for their failures.

In her earlier post, Palin called out the “breathlessly gleeful media celebrations” of Hillary Clinton’s “performance” at the Benghazi hearings “as four grieving American families try to put one foot in front of the other in their never ending nightmare full of loss.” Palin included in her post several photos of a smiling Clinton taken after her testimony on Capitol Hill, writing, “A picture says a thousand words about a heart for four dead Americans who sacrificed all in defense of our country.”
