Dorner Fans Cheer Him On Twitter As Gunbattle Goes Down: 'Fight The Power', 'Go Dorner Go'

Christopher Dorner, the former LAPD officer suspected of shooting five people and killing three in Southern California, has barricaded himself in a cabin near the 7 Oaks area near Big Bear. According to reports, Dorner broke into the cabin, and tied up the couple who was living there and stole their white Dodge pickup truck.:

Dorner crashed the truck and exchanged gunfire with the officers as he fled into a vacation cabin, where he was quickly surrounded by San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies, the source said.

The source said one deputy was wounded as Dorner fired out of the cabin and a second was injured when Dorner exited the back of the cabin, deployed a smoke grenade and opened fire again in an apparent attempt to flee. Dorner was driven back inside the cabin, the source said.

Candy Martin, owner of the 84-year-old cabin, said she  turned on the news and saw her cabin surrounded by police. It appeared Dorner was in the main cabin that is on the property with six smaller cabins.

After two San Bernadino County sheriffs responded to the auto theft, they engaged in a shootout with Dorner. Dorner shot two deputies killing one of them, a source say told the L.A. Times:

A dramatic daylight gunfight broke out Tuesday between law enforcement officers and a man they believe to be Christopher Dorner, the fugitive ex-cop wanted in three murders and a revenge shooting rampage across Southern California.

The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department said at least two deputies were shot as authorities surrounded a cabin in the Big Bear ski resort area. One deputy died of his wounds at Loma Linda University Medical Center, sources told the Los Angeles Times.

It was unknown whether Dorner, a Navy veteran who was fired from the Los Angeles Police Department, had been hit by gunfire.
