Why Aren't the Bushies Out Defending the Iraq War?

It didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the media would use the tenth anniversary of the start of the Iraq War as an opportunity to try and cement the dishonest failure-narrative they crafted in 2004 to hand the presidency over to John F’n Kerry.

So why aren’t Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, et al. out in force pushing back?

I know President George W. Bush feels secure his legacy will come out fine in the end (and I couldn’t agree more), but it  would still be nice to see the former Administration out there making the case for why Iraq, the Middle East, America, and the world are better off than they would’ve been without the war.

The biggest mistake in not pushing back is that it’s hard for others to do so when the Bush folks don’t think it is worth the effort.

P.S. Granted, I might have missed a recent appearance here or there by a Bush Administration official. But what I’m talking about is flooding the zone. That would’ve been the smart play, and I’ve seen nothing even close to that.
