Miller Only Became Acting IRS Commissioner in November of 2012

In response to Acting IRS Commissioner Was Due to Leave in June:

I’m not saying Steven Miller isn’t culpable of any wrong-doing at the IRS, it’s just that he wasn’t tapped to become IRS Commissioner until November of last year – two years into the IRS targeting of conservatives for political reasons.

He was replacing Doug Shulman, the guy who told the House Ways & Means Subcommittee in March of 2012 that his agency was “absolutely” not targeting tea party organizations.

The targeted audits conservative organizations got were “just the normal back and forth that happens when people apply for 501 (c)4 status,” Shulman explained.

He’s the guy lawmakers should be looking at.
