IRS' Lerner May Have Revoked Her 5th Amendment Right

Former IRS boss Lois Lerner pled the 5th amendment during the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing, but not before making a statement that she had done nothing wrong and was innocent of breaking any laws. South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy (R) took issue with Lerner’s refusal to answer questions, saying that she revoked her 5th amendment rights when she remarked that she had not broken any laws or done anything wrong.

I have done nothing wrong…I have not broken any laws-Lois Lerner

Lerner then refused to answer Congressman Issa after he asked her if she would at least answer questions regarding  what she had said in her opening statement. Issa dismissed Lerner and her counsel from the committee room, but not until saying that she could be called again to testify.

Did Lerner revoke her 5th amendment right?
